Located in the northwestern part of the national park (Banjski Kopaonik), this area encompasses the southwestern side of the Vučak peak in the source region of the Gvozdačka River(Gvozdačka Reka) and covers an area of 64.18 hectares. It spans an elevation range from 1350 to 1560 meters above sea level. In the peripheral areas, there are springs with water suitable for potable use. The Vučak locality is predominantly covered by spruce and fir forests. Here, the spruce extends beyond its typical altitudinal range (1550-1750 m.a.s.l.), which is characteristic of Kopaonik, descending into the belt of beech and fir forests, where it forms a community with fir without the presence of beech. The descent of spruce below its natural boundary is facilitated by fir, which shields it from unfavorable environmental factors. In the hollows of this locality, forest communities of spruce (Piceetum abietis), beech-fir forests, and spruce-beech-fir forests are also present.
