Spanning an area of 29.16 hectares, this locality is located on the left bank of the Gobeljska River(Gobeljska Reka), extending across an elevation range of 1220 to 1460 meters above sea level. The vegetation of this site consists of a climate-regional mixed forest comprising spruce, beech, and fir. This mid-mountain polydominant community exhibits a stable floristic composition and a relict character, representing a remnant of ancient mixed forests. In addition to the dominant spruce, beech, and fir forests, there are also spruce stands (Piceetum montanum) and beech-spruce forests (Piceo-Fagetum montanum) at the stream’s lower reaches. A distinct variant of this community—Piceo-Fagetum montanum subass festucetosum drymeiae—is found on the very steep portions of the slope.
