Spanning an area of 106.85 hectares on the right bank of the Brzećka River(Brzećka Reka), this site is situated at an altitude of 1190-1840 meters above sea level. The primary value of this locality lies in the ecological diversity of its plant communities, which include various forest types, meadows, pastures, rocky outcrops, and scree slopes. Characteristic communities include those of spruce and fir with heather (Erico-Piceo-Abietum) and Sesleria (Seslerio-Piceo-Abietum), indicating the habitat diversity present in this area. The lowest parts of this region are covered by beech forests (Fagetum montanum). Additionally, this section of the massif features the Metođe sanctuary and the Gvozdac geyser, located at an elevation of 1430 meters above sea level.
