Spanning an area of 61.87 hectares, this site encompasses both valley sides of the watercourse that originates beneath Pančić Peak(Pančićev Vrh) and the Heavenly Thrones(Nebeske Stolice). A prominent feature of the locality is the eponymous cascading waterfall, which has a height of 71 meters. Surrounding the waterfall are beech forests (Fagetum montanum), as well as forests composed of beech and spruce, and mixed forests of spruce, beech, and fir (Piceetum excelsae), all of which are climatically conditioned. Above these, there is a community of blueberries, dwarf junipers, and subalpine spruces (Piceo subalpinae-Vaccinio-Juniperetum), along with polydominant forests of beech, spruce, and mountain maple, as well as communities of high mountain pastures. The site is also home to wild lilies, a plant species protected by law.
