Kopaonik National Park

The decision to establish the enterprise for the protection and development of Kopaonik National Park was made in 1989. Our primary mission is the protection and enhancement of the natural environment of Kopaonik. The park’s protection is carried out in accordance with the Law on Environmental Protection and the Law on National Parks, as well as relevant international conventions. The planning and use of the area are directed based on the Special Purpose Area Spatial Plan and corresponding urban planning frameworks. Oversight of the implementation of the laws and plans is carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Construction, and the Institute for Nature Conservation of Serbia. Kopaonik National Park is organized with headquarters in Kopaonik and has a total of 52 employees, 16 of whom hold higher education degrees. The protection of nature and the preservation of cultural and historical values is ensured through the involvement of experts from various fields.

Responsible for managing and organizing tasks to maintain internal order in Kopaonik National Park, overseeing the monitoring service, and leading research and development activities aimed at implementing biodiversity protection and conservation projects.

Head of the Economics and Finance Department

Responsible for overseeing financial-accounting and marketing activities of the enterprise. He participates in the creation of all plans and programs of the enterprise.
