Occupying an area of 31.63 hectares, this locality is situated on the northeastern slopes of Suvo Rudište, extending from Pančić Peak(Pančićev Vrh) towards the source branch of the Brzećka River(Brzećka Reka), within an elevation range of 1650 to 2017 meters above sea level. Up to an altitude of 1800 meters, typical subalpine spruce forest vegetation (Piceetum abietis subalpinum) is developed. The shrub community Piceo subalpinae-Vaccinio-Juniperetum is a climatic regional community for the elevation range of 1800 to 1950 meters, while in the range of 1650 to 1800 meters, it represents a climatic regional subalpine spruce forest. The locality also encompasses a subgeological natural monument (Cirque Krčmar), a hydrological natural monument (part of the Duboka watercourse), habitats of significant insect species, and the protected ridge of the Kopaonik divide (part of the peripheral ridge).
