The Jelovarnik Waterfall is located in the southeastern part of the Kopaonik National Park. The waterfall can be accessed via the local gravel road Brzeće–Mramor–Zaplanina mine, and it is about 4.5 km away from the Mramor pass. On the way to the waterfall, you pass through the village of Čelići, the only village within the park’s boundaries, where the inhabitants are exclusively engaged in livestock farming and fruit cultivation. From the road, a well-maintained trail of about 150 meters leads to the waterfall. Jelovarnik Waterfall is formed by the Zaplanina River, which originates at the foot of the Nebeske Stolice. The waterfall is of a cascading type, and during heavy rainfall, it transforms into a single entity, creating a large waterfall with a height of 82 meters. The water is crystal clear, and the sight of it, with sunlight streaming through the dense beech forest, is truly impressive. Jelovarnik Waterfall is a natural monument and is strictly protected from any activities. In this reserve, the most flourishing beech forest on Kopaonik has developed, with some trees reaching heights of 30-35 meters and trunks over 1 meter in diameter. Additionally, the area is home to the mountain maple, a glacial relict, and a Balkan Peninsula endemic species.
