The uniqueness of this trail lies in its passage through two nature reserves: Samokovska Reka and Kozja Stena. For the most part, the trail follows the canyon of the Samokovka, a beautiful, fast-flowing, clear, and drinkable river, full of cascades and streams. The charm of this trail is reflected in the stunning landscapes it traverses, allowing hikers to enjoy every moment. This trail connects two of Kopaonik’s most famous picnic spots: Kadijevac and Đorov Most. The most striking view is from a small elevation in the lower part of the trail, offering a glimpse of the steep cliffs of Kozja Stena and the water canal, which was cut through the gorges and rocks by local villagers, stretching for 18 km. The nature here is pristine, with ancient forests of spruce, fir, beech, and oak gradually giving way to one another. Along the way, you can refresh yourself with wild strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and currants, while relishing the fresh air and the abundance of high-quality edible mushrooms. During the summer, when the air temperatures in cities become unbearably high, this place offers a respite, where you can relax and breathe in the crisp mountain air.
