Based on Article 21 of the Statute of the Public Enterprise “National Park Kopaonik,” with full responsibility, in accordance with Article 16, paragraph 1, point 1, and Article 17 of the Law on National Parks (“Official Gazette of the RS” No. 84/2015 and 95/2018), as well as Article 68, paragraph 1, point 1 of the Law on Nature Protection (“Official Gazette of the RS” No. 36/2009…95/2018), and Articles 27 and 28 of the Internal Rules of the National Park Kopaonik (“Official Gazette of the RS” No. 50/2000), the following is issued

The Public Enterprise “National Park Kopaonik” takes full responsibility, according to the valid provisions of the Law on National Parks and the Law on Nature Protection, as the manager of the protected area of National Park Kopaonik, to preserve and enhance the protected area and implement protection regimes. Article 27 of the Internal Rules of the National Park Kopaonik stipulates that maintaining cleanliness in the National Park is the obligation of all users of the park, that the owners or users of public areas are responsible for maintaining cleanliness, and that the owners or users of residential, weekend, or business properties are responsible for maintaining cleanliness on their respective parcels. Considering the above, especially the fact that the park’s ranger service has observed a large amount of waste around the properties of owners and users within this protected area, we remind you that it is necessary to remove and dispose of this waste outside the boundaries of National Park Kopaonik as soon as possible. This is to prevent initiating misdemeanor proceedings against individuals whose unlawful actions and activities contribute to the pollution of this protected asset and all natural values within it.
